About CEED

In 1999, a group of six individuals felt led by God to leave the comfort of home to go on a mission trip to Uganda. On their journey, they met many wonderful people who told their stories of poverty, illness, unemployment, and lack of hope for the future. These men and women fell in love with the people of Ugandan and came home determined to a make a sustainable difference in their lives and that’s when the Christian East African Economic Development (CEED) was born.

CEED is a 501 (c)(3) organization whose purpose is to encourage and facilitate spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the development and maintenance of sustainable income-generating projects in poverty-stricken areas of the world. We bring together the abundant possibilities of American financial resources with the natural resources of East Africa. CEED offers employment and management opportunities to nationals and oversees projects through an all-volunteer Board which provides leadership and vision.
