3 Benefits of Clean Water. It's More Important Than Ya Think.

All of our profits go toward well drilling projects in Uganda – as you know. We aim to have thousands of wells dug all over Africa, at the same time spreading the Word of God. Logistically, clean water saves lives. Here’s how:

  1. Every cell in our bodies is composed of water.

Water makes up 85% of our brain, 80% of our blood, and 70% of lean muscle. For men, 60% of their body weight is water; for women, 50% of their body weight is water. Pretty cool, right? kids carry water (2)Can you imagine putting a dirty, muddy substance into 85% of your brain? Heck no! The people of Uganda are constantly relying on sickening water sources. Access to clean, healthy water could change their whole biological make-up because water is simply everywhere.

  1. Water lowers the child mortality rate.

“Water is life. But when water is unsafe and sanitation non-existent, water can kill. Globally, waterborne illnesses are a leading cause of death for children under five, killing nearly 1,000 children every day.” – UNICEFusa.org

Water is in every part of our bodies, and children are growing constantly from age 0 to 25. Conclusion: Water must be a huge component in the development of the brain and body. Kiddos in Uganda are starting life being used to unsanitary water and growing up thinking their habits are healthy ones. Only after a well is dug and new practices are taught does it become clear that drinking clean water can drastically change child growth and health.

  1. Water encourages the growth of communities.

When a well is drilled or a new way of purifying water is presented, the community comes together. With the increase in strength and mental awareness from drinking safe water, the people can be more effective in developing their cultural and village life. As the community grows and develops, the door opens for churches to grow as well – bringing God into the lives of hundreds.

The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.

 Revelation 22:17
